PAYMENT SAFETY AT BOOKETRIP

Book Travel with Payment Awareness

BookETrip is a customer-facing travel brand powered by MyTrava.

Travel payments may relate to flights, hotels, buses, holiday packages, transfers, activities and other supported travel services.

Depending on the selected booking method, payments may be processed using available banking, payment gateway or authorised payment service channels.

Important Payment Principle

A successful payment and a confirmed travel booking are separate stages. A booking may remain subject to payment verification, live inventory and final supplier confirmation.

PAYMENT SECURITY BASICS

Protect Your Travel Transaction

๐Ÿ”

Protect OTPs

Never disclose banking or payment authentication OTPs to unauthorised persons.

๐Ÿ’ณ

Protect Card Details

Never share your card PIN or sensitive banking credentials through casual messages.

๐Ÿงพ

Check Transactions

Review payment amount and transaction details before authorising payment.

๐Ÿ“„

Keep Records

Retain relevant payment and booking confirmation records for future reference.

01. Payment Processing

Payments for BookETrip services may be processed through available banks, payment gateways or authorised payment service providers.

The payment options available may vary according to the booking, platform, transaction amount and payment service availability.

02. Transaction Information

BookETrip may receive or maintain transaction-related information such as payment status, amount, transaction reference, payment method category and refund status.

Such information may be used for booking support, payment reconciliation, refund processing, dispute handling and transaction record purposes.

03. Card and Banking Credentials

Customers should enter payment credentials only through the payment interface presented for the relevant transaction.

Never send a card PIN, banking password, UPI PIN or OTP through email, chat or an unsecured communication channel.

04. OTP Security

An OTP may be used by a bank, payment service or authentication system to verify a transaction or account action.

Customers are responsible for protecting OTPs and should immediately contact the relevant bank or payment provider if suspicious activity is identified.

05. Payment Does Not Automatically Confirm Travel

A successful payment acknowledgement does not independently mean that an airline ticket, hotel, bus seat, holiday component or other travel service has been confirmed.

Final confirmation may remain subject to live inventory, fare availability and supplier confirmation.

06. Dynamic Travel Prices

Flight fares, hotel prices and travel supplier rates can change according to live availability.

Where a price changes before final confirmation, the customer may be informed of the revised available option.

07. Holiday Package Payments

Custom holiday bookings may require an initial payment, part payment or full payment according to the booking requirements communicated to the customer.

Travel components may be confirmed according to payment receipt, supplier availability and the applicable booking schedule.

Customers should complete pending payments within communicated timelines to reduce the risk of price or inventory changes.

08. Failed or Pending Transactions

A transaction may show as failed, pending or incomplete because of banking systems, payment providers, network interruptions or other technical conditions.

Customers should verify their bank or payment account before attempting repeated payments for the same booking.

09. Duplicate Payments

If a customer believes the same booking has been charged more than once, the customer should provide relevant transaction references for verification.

Any verified excess transaction will be handled according to applicable payment, banking and reconciliation procedures.

10. Payment Verification

BookETrip may verify transaction information before processing or completing a travel service.

Additional verification may be requested where a transaction appears inconsistent, incomplete or potentially unauthorised.

11. Suspicious Transactions

A booking or transaction may be reviewed where there are reasonable concerns relating to unauthorised payment use, account misuse or suspected fraud.

Travel processing may be delayed or restricted while necessary verification is completed.

12. Refund Transactions

Where a refund is approved, processing may depend on the travel supplier, payment provider, bank and original payment method.

Supplier penalties, cancellation charges or other applicable deductions may affect the final refundable amount.

13. Payment Provider Responsibilities

Banks and payment service providers may independently process payment credentials and transaction information according to their systems, security controls and applicable requirements.

14. Customer Payment Responsibilities

Customers should verify the booking amount before payment, use authorised payment methods and promptly report suspected unauthorised transactions to the relevant bank or payment provider.

15. Payment Fraud Warning

Do not trust persons requesting your UPI PIN, card PIN, banking password or OTP in the name of providing a travel refund or booking confirmation.

Customers should independently verify suspicious payment requests before taking action.

16. Payment Data and Privacy

Transaction-related information may be processed according to the BookETrip Privacy Policy and applicable operational or legal requirements.

17. Payment Support

For a payment-related booking concern, customers should provide the booking reference, transaction date, amount and relevant transaction reference.
